In the news today... something non-TarHeel-ish, yet still sure to brighten your day. It has come to my attention that the "dollar" theater has re-opened. God is good.
None other than! Man, I've missed that place... the bad sound quality, the sticky floors, the raucous audiences... the greatest $1.50 you'll ever spend!
yup - still $1.50, according to the website http://www.carmike.com/showtimes/dsp_showtimesdetail.aspx?theatrenumber=076140 and maybe we'll get a few good weeks of non-sticky floors before the masses come flocking back to mecca!
Melanie and I went to see "Lemony Snicket" last night - and honestly, I didn't see anything that indicated there were renovations done. Unless there really had been a fire and all that is fixed up. I mean, sheeesh, the faucets in the bathroom were broken!

Ahh, good old dollar theater...let's just take a moment to reflect on all the CHARACTERS we've each met there...
~
yeah, good times...don't go there during the day by yourself.
other than that, HOORAY, I can pay for a movie in quarters again!
I personally think the "renovations" were a cover for something. I guess we'll never know.
