DC Trip Picture Set, 1 of 7!

Our Life Group enjoyed a weekend trip to Washington, DC, the weekend of April 29th! Here are some photos from the outing. Since I have twenty-one photos, Matt thought it would be a good idea to post them a few at a time. So, here you've found the first installment of three images. I plan to post three pictures per day for seven days. (If any of you took pictures and need help sharing them, let me know.)

Without furthur ado...

Saturday morning, and everyone is excited, ready to head off into the capitol... The coordinators here are reviewing their game plan to get us all to the metro station (after we grab a quick bite for breakfast, of course). The lovely porch you see is at the home of a most generous couple, who basically loaned us their house for the weekend; they're friends of Sarah! (If you're reading this, thank you again!)

Here's the International Spy Museum. Very cool. Pictures aren't allowed inside, like lot of museums. If you ever get to visit, give yourself at least a couple of hours to look around. You could easily burn half a day here. Our group sees the bulk of it, and then rushes through to the end to do lunch before heading towards the Holocaust Museum...

From the Spy Museum, we're walking towards the China-Town metro station. Ahead of us, a cool-sounding funk band is playing in the street. We can't see because of the crowds surrounding, but before we vanish into the metro station I make sure to grab a couple of the free M&M candy bars some organization or company is distributing.

Hey guys - It turns out that Krissy pulled into her driveway not 5 minutes after we left on Sunday! She was sorry she didn't get to meet you all, and also said they loved the gift certificate to Outback and was thoroughly impressed by how great the house looked after 10 ruffians took it over for the weekend. (Well okay, my words not hers) I'm going to show her our blog so she can see pics from our adventure - Thanks Eddie, our D.C. Photojournalist Extraordinaire!

Thanks for posting the pics Eddie. The last thing I wanted to do was sign up for another photo gallery website : )

I hate that I missed out.
